Strip Till
Strip tilling is desirable in areas where wind, soil or water erosion are a concern. In standing cover applications the strips of cover crop that remain in place between the tilled seedbeds act as a buffer to protect the soil from wind erosin and also protect the new plants after emergence. Strip tilling may enable an earlier return to the field since the ground is firmer and safer for heavy equipment to traverse.
